I am now following up on a number of issues reported to me by residents of Walpole Road and Lowestoft drive regarding the traffic safety issue turning in from the Bath Road. If you have a view on this please email and let me know.

I have taken the time to review this with one of the residents and it is clearly a safety concern which I have raised wit the council and will follow up with them shortly to see what action they are planning to take.

 I am still gathering input and ideas from residents on Derwent Dive. This photograph is an example of the issues faced by local residents. A number of possible solutions have been put forward by residents but their is no single solution which is acceptable to all. I will aim to bring residents together so that all options can be discussed with a view to finding a single solution.

 I am amazed by the number of people who have raised the issue of traffic safety and parking in Derwent Drive. I took a look for myself and it is clear that residents are having to put up with a lot of problems.

Interestingly many of the problems occur at school times as there is not enough room for all the parents dropping off and picking up from the local School. But strangely the yellow lines which are supposed to stop these problems are actually ust penalising the residents who are generally not causing the problem.

A number of solutions have been put to me including one way systems, new bays and new school travel plans. One thing is clear, a co-ordinated approach will be necessary. I am polling residents and asking for their views. Please get in touch if you have any ideas.
